Kona 12hrs of Santos

Great friggin' weekend for racing, and our first go at sponsoring an event ... amazing weather, and another fantastic course layout by the Goneriding crew. I think the riders really enjoyed it, and there was more spectator opportunities than I remember from past 12hr events. OMBA played a big part in the event as well... Well done.

Notables on the day:
Harvey Minton (Indy Fab) took the top prize in the 12hr solo category. I called Harvey to give him my congrats personally. Harvey and I go back awhile, he's been a great help to me along the way and is a tremendous resource. This guy had his plan down pat and it shows with his result. Way to go Harvey! I look forward to following the rest of your season.

Greg Derosa (UBC/MBI Homes/Melitta), an On Your Mark client, took the top prize in the 6hr category by simply out-running the competition. Nobody could keep up with him. I got the opportunity to ride with Greg on his last lap. Before you call me out... I admit I was on a team for this one. Regardless, I was fresh and Greg was rolling out... they dont call him "the Diesel" for nothing!

Other OYM clients did very well...

Dave Snow took 16th, having just been fit by me a little over 1 month ago. Dave had this to say:
"The bike fittings have been the best investment I've made on the bikes and have a lot to do with my improvements."
Right on!

Karlos "The Naked Indian" Ar Bernart-Rodriguez also had a good day finishing 8 laps, good enough for 32 out of 49. Great job Karlos.

Big thanks goes out to Brian "Chewey" Balik for getting us up to speed with Kona, we are Florida's newest Kona Dealer!
